Yes, who would have thought that the long hair in the picture could become a cop? Me neither.
I'm from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I live in Raleigh, NC now.
I worked for the Albemarle County Police Department in Charlottesville, VA from August 1996 till February 2000. Then I worked for the Hillsborough, NC Police Department from February 2000 till February 2001. I went back to ACPD, February 2001 till February 2003. In February 2003 I moved to Norfolk and started working for the Old Dominion University Police Department. I didn't much care for that, too boring. I also hated Norfolk, and the PD didn't really allow me time to go back to school, which is why I took the job to begin with. So, in August of 2004 I went to work for the City of Danville Police Department. I liked Danville PD, but the drive between Chapel Hill and Danville got old, and the schedule was driving me into the ground. So, I left Danville in July 2006 to become a Probation and Parole Surveillance Officer for the State of North Carolina in Durham County. Probation was OK, but the best thing it did for me was to make me realize that I really do want to be a cop. So, as of February 2008 I am employed full-time as a police officer again, this time with the Roxboro, NC Police Department.
